Always had really good results shooting 185 gr. and 200 gr. reloads, especially in my Combat Commander and Officers ACP guns.
Do you cast your own or who do you buy from? I don't think I'll buy Falcon again. Acme was ok for me in the past. I hear alot of talk about Missouri Bullet Co.
Nice shooting, Mn Fats, and thanks for the range report! I've always thought the SR1911 was a good-looking pistol.
Thanks and no problem! I'm still getting used to the black controls. But it's been my t.v. companion since I got it. Hard to put it away just yet :D.

Don't remember the name of the company; use to buy them in bulk at some of the local gun shows.

I went through a similar debate with myself last Feb and ended up with a Springfield RO Elite Champion (Commander length). Now I want the Ruger anyhow :). IMHO you really cannot go wrong with either. I was leary of a Springfield as I have never owned anything Springfield. After 2400 rounds in 11 months I've not had one mis-queue. It shoots better than I do.

WST is much cleaner than Bullseye. It also smells good. Meters like a champ.

I cast my own bullets. H&G 68 or a RCBS 201-KT. Mostly the 68 as I have a four cavity for it.

Hi-Tek coated.

Like my Springfield, but it's not the GI Model.
Also quite happy with a Citadel (RIA) 1911.
Not as nice as my Springfields but then about 1/2 the price.

PS: 25k+ rounds on my Springfield Loaded 9mm 1911 so it has some use, more than lots, less than some.
