OK, went to look closely at the used Python in the used area of my fav gunshop. It is a 2 1/2inch.

Blueing: to be honest, fair, no rust or pitting at all, but there is holster wear on all the standard spots. Probably was a detectives gun.

Action, smoothest or as smooth as I've ever felt, on a stock Python.

Original stocks, good condition, no cracks, but checkering peaks are a little bit smoothed by the years of handling, but the gun doesn't appear to be shot much.

Mechanically: perfect, nice tight lockup and like I said, super smooth in both single and double action. Rifleing is excellent.

No box (bummer)
No papers (again, bummer)

Price is actually $850.00, not $950.00 and he says If I make a solid offer it may be accepted.

What do you guys think"

I think if I was in New Mexico instead of Utah I'd try to get to that store before you.......................

Walk, crawl, swim or fly back to that store with 8 beans in your pocket...
Tell him you can only spend 7... Gas is expensive you know....

Reasonable wear????

My Python wouldn't win a beauty contest here, but it is special for ONE reason.

It's mine!

Buy it, sell it, buy two less expensive revolvers. :D

I actually checked to see what state you lived it. If it was Florida, I was going to start calling around. ;)

Buy it, sell it, buy two less expensive revolvers.

Then take those 2 less expensive revolvers and sell those and buy 4 beaters.

Now, take those 4 beaters and sell them and buy 8 parts guns.

Dissasemble those parts guns and sell the parts on Ebay.

Take the money from that and buy yourself something nice like a used Python.:D

By the way... shorty Pythons suck.

Go with seven $100 bills and another to pay tax and transfer. Pull them out and wave them, tell them all you have in this world is this-out the door!;)
