So last week had 2 new shooters to the range.
First my cousin who owns a little 2 shot 22lr derringer for HD. She had never even shot it. So we went to the range and i let it's usefulness as a HD weapon speak for itself. Told her to put 6 rounds into the target. She did, took her about 4 minutes. and she hit the target twice. That gun sucked.
So I handed her a little keltec p11 I have and said, now put 10 rounds into the target. She did it in <40 seconds and hit the target center mass 8 times.
Then it was fun time, rented a Barreta 92fs, fired my M&P 40 then went to the AR (223) which she loved. I see a pistol purchase permit and a new gun in her near future, lol
Next my neighbor who has never shot a gun. He had a day off, I went knocked on his door and told him "it time, let's go!". Went through the Keltec and M&P then rented a Kimber Crimson Carry II and a Glock (9mm). Ran out of time unfortunately before getting to the rifle range. He went home grinning ear to ear. I see a gun living next door soon. lol.
