Suhl is a town in the former East Germany. It is an old, old firearm manufacturing area and produced some very high quality firearms. After WWII the Soviets controlled this part of Germany. The Suhl branded rifles were the communist's alternative to Anschutz which was located in West Germany. The Suhl rifles are excellent quality and considered as good as Anschutz. When I was shooting in rimfire bench rest competition the Suhl rifles were used by a number of shooters and were well regarded as an accurate rifle. As mentioned above, most 11mm groove sights should work but finding original sights may be an expensive venture.
Nothing in the 40th edition (2019) Blue Book of Gun Values on Suhls. Any other nomenclature on the Guns that they may be listed under? Kinda cool that they are marked with GDR, a country which no longer exists. 2 neat pieces of Cold War history.
