right on the money

This show was right on the money

- guns CAN be a good thing
- DDT is just FINE!
- Republican and Democrat officials alike both spend our $ like drunken sailors
- live within your means... what a concept!
- most people are brutally ignorant

That John Stosel is alright...

Overall, it was a very good program.

I sent a message via the ABC email system. It is so rare to get fair treatment by the mainstream media. They should be rewarded with positive feedback.

I also merged two duplicate threads into this one.

That has to be the most fantastic piece of television I have seen since the Apollo moon landing!!!:D :D :D

John Stossel nailed it on the environment, taxes, govt. spending, gun control. I sent an email to them telling them how good I thought the program was.

If you want to get a laugh check out the forums on the ABC News website. The liberals and antis are going absolutely bonkers!:p Somebody turned a hose on their big kumbaya camp fire. :neener:

My e-mail to them:

I enjoyed John Stossel's piece tonight; especially the part on the failure of gun control and the recent admission by the government that they can find no evidence that gun control works.

The facts on child firearms deaths was also refreshing to see brought into the light of day.

Keep up the good work.

Got it on tape?

If someone got this on tape, I can digitize it so we can make it part of the permanent library. Anyone?

I just emailed ABC with some positive feedback; that was the very first objective, FACTUAL piece on gun control I have ever seen on network TV.

I humbly suggest that everyone in the RKBA movement write or email ABC with positive feedback- this is too big of an opportunity to miss showing our gratitude for fair play.

If you didn't see the piece- find a friend who has a copy, and then show it to everyone that you can...

I sent my e-mail. I also asked that Stossel get his own show and that Walters and Jennings get the boot.

Very good piece. I liked the Al Sharpton bit almost as much as the gun bit. I really wish he'd win the Democratic nomination

Jeez, suppose after going pro gun like that Stossel will still have a job at ABC?

Is it fair to take advantage of Sharpton like that? He is much too easy a patsy.

Never thought I would see such bold debunking of the gun bigotry get past the censors.

Well Done.

Guns are evil, right?

CDC admits that they can not prove that gun control works

Criminals do not procure guns through the system

Criminals are afraid of armed victims

Accidental child deaths are 50 per year

Guns are used for self-defense

Right to carry states are safer and blood is not running in the streets

I probably missed some of it. But he touched most of the talking points from this forum regarding gun control.

No mention of constitutional issues, but maybe next time. :)

Stossel was terrific! The counterpoint of jailed felons (who don't care about gun laws because they buy on the street) and women who defend themselves with guns may change a lot of anti's minds! Or at least move the fence-sitters our way.

Ok, I was sucking up. They deserve a little pat on the back now and then for doing right, dont they?
I would like to commend John Stossel for exposing the lies perpetrated by the Violence Protection Center and other anti-gun groups. I only wish that more people had the courage to tell the truth, and such a fine media to broadcast that message of truth like ABC.

Thanks,
Mike

Well - I sent them this...
I enjoyed the John Stossel piece. Finally, a dose of reality in the increasingly fictionalized world of network television. Bravo for the truth.
I am certain you would have far more viewers if it weren't for the obvious and constant liberal slant to your "reports".
The only reason I watched tonight was to see if the truth would be told on your network. It was. I would watch more if you continued to spend time in reality. I hope it doesn't cost someone thier job.
Thank you,
XXXXXX
Refreshing to see "REALITY" TV!:D

i got it on VHS
and i will transfer it to Mini DV,
Capture it thru 1394 to Final Cut and
Cleaner it to a Broadband and a 56K feed

y'all better have a fat pipe cause 5 minutes of useful video data is a load
The raw 1/2 scale capture is ~ a gigabyte

I usually run a 320 x 240 at 15 fps, real encode for Broadband at 248 K/PS
thats a meg every 4 seconds
~ 15 megs a minute

Quicktime will prolly look nicer

Who can host it?
