20 gauge - 26 or 28 inch barrel?

I'm looking to get a semi-auto Beretta AL391 Urika. But, the shop only has a 26 inch barrel. It feels good. But, I didn't get to try the 28 inch to see if I liked it better. What do you guys prefer in a semi-auto? Will be used primarily for upland and dove hunting.

For me I prefer the 28" barrel simply 'cause that is what I grew up using. I like the longer barrel and use my choice of choke for the need at the time.

We have 20s in both...and 11-87 Premier in 26", a Franchi AL48 in 28", a 391 in 28" and a soon-to-be-sold AL390 in 26". Honestly, though I slightly prefer the 28" because it swings a little better (for me; YMMV), it's so close I don't think I'd notice if you blindfolded me. Our hunting is all in fields; if you're in a woodsy area you might prefer the 26".

I'd opt for the 26" . . . personal preference in that I think they "look" better & I have always liked shorter tubes.

In a 20 gauge side by side shooting alternately, I doubt seriously you'll even be able to tell the difference. I'd go with what's available.
