the only guns ive seen made in the last 20 years that interested me at all have been the ruger american series.i hate plastic stocks but like these for their utility.

the new copys of the old win rifles are interesting for sure. but with my eyes they are 50yrd rifles and dont do me much good.

the mirouku wins are nice but not at that price when i already have some old ones.

Revolvers are the only thing left to re-do. They can't keep coming out with more striker firedt 9's. Derringers are played out, 2 shot's for $500.00, is just a bad idea. So what's left, Revolvers, like kimber just tried, maybe if they were less than 800 dollars they would catch on, like the LCR's. But the lack of rounds and heavy weight to circumvent that problem is hard to get around.
I don't know, what lightweight concealable weapon hasn't been done to death.

The walther looks like a hi point.

Unfortunately, I don't see anything that piques my interest either.
For me, aesthetics are secondary (or tertiary) to performance. Everything I have read indicates that the Walther is leading edge performance. The trigger is said to be exceptional.

"The GUU-5P (bottom) features a forged upper receiver with a carry handle rear sight, M4 feed ramps and no forward assist."

Looks like a light-weight, no nonsense AR-15. I am interested.

Looks like Ruger is going to start offering the RPR in 6mm Creedmoor with a 24" barrel in lieu of the .243 previously offered.

As an aside the RPR page has a reference to the "Ruger Precision Rifle Short Action Handguard"... Doesn't seem necessary to clarify that it is a short action specific handguard unless you have some long action versions of the RPR planned...

The A22 Savage is doable,I have the A17 Savage and today I was at my LGS and he has the A22 Mag and it's just as nice as the A17,the action on the A22 is really smooth and the trigger is so so,about what you can expect from basic Savage but anyway it's on my to buy list come Jan 2nd start the new year out small,he has a price of 419.00 on it but that's nagotionable,if I buy it I will have 9 Savage weapons 7 bolts and 2 semi autos not bad for a poor guy.

I think it would go good with my 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor, one more item to talk to my LGS about.

Such a disappointment. I truly think that gun designs are at a standstill. It's either some new flavor of the week AR-15, a new AR accessory, a new AR clone, or a striker fired polymer 9mm.

If anything, going back in time is the way to go. Going forward? Absolutely nothing memorable here. Where are the caseless ammo guns? The telescopic cased ammo? Electronic triggers? Lot's of room for innovation, but we're stuck with the above.

I'll think I'll continue to patronize the used gun market, while the current firearms buyer wanders over to sporting goods while his wife is having paint mixed.

Remington is going to enter the polymer-framed striker-fired pistol market? Remington is going to have its corporate ass handed to it.

I think that there could be a real improvement in firearms technology if manufacturers attempted to make high muzzle velocity firearms. The problem is that it takes a manufacturer willing to invest into a new gun design AND a new cartridge.

The FN 5.7 is a step in this direction. 20 rounds at 2000 fps out of a handgun.

I see 3 things to fall in love with. 2 for sure with 1 strong possibility. Go ahead and sign me up for a howdah and a chassis rifle in 6.5CM. The long slide 10mm Remington has serious potential depending on the feedramp and how well the chamber is supported.
