Looks like good herd management to me.
The last decade or so, I will take a cull buck and let decent 6-8pts walk. It has improved the bucks I'm seeing on my cameras, but has also caused me to use up a tag and have to pass on bigger bucks later in season. I'm mostly hunting for meat anyway, but I think this year I'm gonna get a big one first and take culls later in season.

Tried to video, Gopro doesnt have enough mag. Played w MS Clipchamp program

Get a camcorder and be ready for deer season, chuck vids next yr.

This field is in our coyote hunting spot LOL.
6 other bean fields,some corn fields trees and brush.
CRP too
Yet this one small field is the one getting hanmered by chucks. Some next door damage,but 90 percent is in one small field

I don't have any decent hunting pics of late.....but oh my goodness....the deer are THICK here!


Deer have caused us to replant around 40acres. this field should be green....they have eaten the beans down to the dirt. they're everywhere.

Day and night, but worse at daylight and dusk. Motorcycles beware! more coming! this one is brand new!.

It looks like a promising season coming up.

I planted 3 food plots in iron & clay peas for the deer in early March. When I came back in the middle of April there were only nipped off nubs of the pea plants. They didn't give the sprouts a chance to even get to 6 leaves.

We can get them and I may consider it next year..
I think it was a perfect storm of early April soybeans and a mild winter /warm dry springtime.

Killed my first pig with the 6mm Creed tonight and he was a son of a gun! I’m betting he’s right at 250. I’m 275 for comparrison.

I've got a game drag harness I've never used. I think I need to start packing it with me for just such an occasion.

If your harness is like mine, just forget it. It helps quite a bit when dragging out a deer but the deer I kill weigh about 225 lbs. less.
Mine also had to be modified by tying a longer stouter cord to the back and that was for deer.

I downed another coyote the other day.

About 200 yards or so. I took my time pressed my shot, coyote just fell over.

I went to go see where I got him and as I approached I began to become nervous as I could not see any blood... Anywhere...

I'm thinking this dude is going to pop up here any second.

After careful inspection, I found the hit. Right in the chest. The Hornady hollow point must have just grenaded the chest cavity.

Not hardly any blood, though.

I was having coffee in me undies when I saw him.

No time for pants. 100-150 yards standing unsupported.

The 6 Creed claimed another big boar last night. 30 yard headshot. Bang! Flop. Tried to get up, so he got a few more. 80 grain Sig Sauer Elite solid copper ammo.

Kid’s first deer. X-bolt Micro in 6.5CR, 143gr ELDX. She outshot all the boys on this youth hunt…I was very proud! Good shoulder shot, deer was DRT
