I've owned the HS Victor, SW M41, Ruger Mkll, Buckmark Camper, Sig Mosquito, SW 22A, Ruger MKlll 22/45, ...I have found the SW 22A a superior shooter for reliability, depenability, feed and eject issues although the HS and the M41 are superior in overall quality and craftmanship but had other issues.
I shoot a lot of 10yd and 7yd open sight and Red Dot and 25yd with a 2X pistol scope.
I shoot mostly the SW22A and Ruger 22/45.
My next 22 will be the Sig Hammerli Trailside or Exssee....

After shooting my S&W 2206 quite a bit, I would like to suggest you find a good used 422/622/2206 variant. Feels great, super reliable and quite accurate as well.

I currently have a Ruger MKII and a Smith 22A. The Ruger was built in 1989 and was used when I got it 6-7 yrs ago. I've personally put a few thousand rnds thru it, never had a problem. The Smith is 2yrs old and has a few thousand rnds thru it as well with no problems. Both eat whatever bulk pack Wally World ammo I put in them with minimal fuss.

I would recommend either of them (in heartbeat) to anyone who wanted a fun plinking/target pistol.
