Most 22 caliber handguns are more "accurate " than you are. Blame it on the gun is the easy part. Now for the hard part?
The Ruger Mark ll is an excellent firearm. Did not mean to say otherwise.Ruger MII is a semi auto. (I have several and they are one of the best ever)
Thank you for posting. That is the first 6 inch King Cobra I have seen! Colt hasn’t even had a photo on their website. Of course, now my life is more complicated, as I was trying to put off purchasing one until the 6” version came out…My most accurate .22 revolvers are my 50’s era S&W pre-18 masterpiece and 6” Colt King Cobra. Even with the 4” barrel and relatively light weight, the S&W will do under an inch at 25 yards with a steady rest and good ammo. Next up is my new Colt King Cobra 6”. Out of the box it would do 2” offhand and 1” or less from a rest. A few days ago I upgraded it with the Kensight Elliason rear, which offers a much improved sight picture at the cost of a bit of bulk. That doesn’t bother me as I don’t carry it. With bigger, better grips, I think I could shoot it even better. I think the new 617s or the classic 17 would be great choices too; I have been underwhelmed by the triggers in recent production S&Ws though so I would not buy one I couldn’t handle first. Hope this helps!

I don't remember whether it came in first or second but back in the late 80s one of the gun mags tested a .22 Freedom Arms and it was the one of the two most accurate revolvers they had ever tested. (the other one of the two was the Freedom Arms in .357 Magnum)Which .22-caliber revolver is the most accurate for general target shooting?
I'm honestly not sure about new revolvers, especially from S&W. My experience over the past decade or so has been pretty negative, and I'm pretty leary of them these days. Other folks will chime in about new guns, I'm sure.I would not call a cheap plinker accurate, by general target shooting I mean competition and non-competition for fun but small group shots at 50 yards, new firearm under $2,000.
