Has anyone played with this bullet in their 22 Hornet?
I have this bullet and Hodgdon Lil-gun and Accurate 1680.
I am curious about the COL, I will be shooting these from a H&R Handi Rifle 22" 1:9 twist.
Thanks

If it was me, I would start by seating them so all of the full diameter part of the bullet is in the case neck. See how they shoot, and maybe adjust from there. As tapered as the bullet is with so little full caliber bearing surface, I doubt you could load it long enough to cause chambering problems, but we want enough neck tension to help get a good burn.

Thanks Walkalong,
I was a little surprised with this 50gr Speer TNT bullet. The dia. is .224" if I seat it at .223" with a 1.4" case my COL would be 1.890", putting about .220" of the bullet in the case.
I seat the Nosler 50gr FBSP at 1.850" with about .224 of the bullet in the case, and the Hornady 50gr SP COL at 1.780", with .273" in the case.
OAL of the bullets are,
Nosler .652"
Hornady .666"
Speer .684"
