The $200-250 range is probably the general range I would pay for it. I understand that you don't want to screw your bro over, but it's not as if it is a collectors gun or one with a good deal of sentimental value to him. That's what I would pay for a Single Six if I were going to go look for one used, that would be what I would pay him.

I paid $109 in late 2001 for a 1965 produced model with two cylinders,it has a brass grip frame, could it be original?

I see used Single sixes at less than $300 fairly often. I never see cheap bearcats though for some reason, I want one.

I once bought a used .22mag only single six at a pawnshop for $165 in 2004 or 2005, my state has 10 day wait, when I came back, it ended up being a stolen gun!

Give him more than its worth and one day give to his son (your nephew) and tell him it was his Dad's gun. You'll be rewarded by both for this. But don't let it out of the family.

"Bought my stainless New Model SS convertible for $289."

Show me the receipt date...
Sorry, should have noted I bought it second hand ... from Grice Guns in Clearfield.

Totally agree with giving it to your nephew once he is mature enough (if it hasn't already happened), along w/ the story of why you have it. It is a family treasure.

$250~$300

mine has Ajax faux ivory grips

Fun reading....

Hmmm, what if it was a 2 or 3 digit gun? Or just a flatgate? Or what if it has original Ruger Ivories or Stags on it?:uhoh:

Basically, without pics ~ blah, blah, and blah...
There are to many variable to quote a price....

Did your Ajax grips fit perfectly from the gitgo or did you have to file them a wee bit?

They look sweet!

Thanks! They fit right up without a hitch.

FWIW - they're a tad smaller than the stock Ruger panels
