You nailed it on the head sir, and with the better bullets it out performs the 6.5 and 6 CM at further distances, carries more energy and such.I would think 25 Creedmoor would have slightly better range than 6mm Creedmoor due to bullet mass, maybe easier on barrels than 6mm Creedmoor. Slightly less recoil than 6.5mm Creedmoor. Seems a logical extension the Creedmoor family
Nothing, unless it is twisted right. The good bullets require a 7-8 twist, most Bob's wont have enough. What would be the Improvement of a 25 Creedmoor over using the new bullets in a 257 Roberts. Other than saying you shoot a creedmore.
I was curious about this for the same reason as if somebody went to rebarrel a 22-250 why that wouldn't be way better than a 224 ValkyrieNothing, unless it is twisted right. The good bullets require a 7-8 twist, most Bob's wont have enough.
Because, as much as I like my Valkyrie, it is nowhere close to a fast twist 22-250.I was curious about this for the same reason as if somebody went to rebarrel a 22-250 why that wouldn't be way better than a 224 Valkyrie
I'm talking with a twist to support 88 hornadays and 90 smk. If it wasn't the barrel burner I would be doing it. Never herd of one doing this yet but very curious.Because, as much as I like my Valkyrie, it is nowhere close to a fast twist 22-250.
I think of it as a differently shaped .223Rem.
A 22-250 is akin to a .22 caliber 7-08, nearly twice the case capacity.
(Dadi wants…)
75 and 77s are still in ar territory. A 90 would totally unexpected. How does it do in that accuracy department? I can immagine at those speeds you may be shedding jackets. Any problems there?McGowen stainless prefit installed in a Savage 10 in a McRees Chassis

~3400 fps is where I'm at with this one- haven't tried to push it any harder

about 1/2" at 100 yards - it's consistently a tight cluster...never a single hole like my Dasher. I keep meaning to try some Bergers in her but still have the Hornadys to shoot up first. How does it do in that accuracy department?
A pdog would just be mistabout 1/2" at 100 yards - it's consistently a tight cluster...never a single hole like my Dasher. I keep meaning to try some Bergers in her but still have the Hornadys to shoot up first.
no problem with jackets
the original owner had it built for Prarie Dog hunts and then he couldn't make the trips anymore.
