I just got an email from Natchez Shooters Supply and I thought I got a deal a few weeks ago on a Bushnell Banner at $54, they are now as low as $29 with lots of other stuff and ammo on sale too. I have a spare already but I don't think I can pass this up, anyone else buy something just cause it was to cheap to pass up? thanks

Got that catalog as well, and I'm really tempted. I already have two in reserve (a Bushnell Trophy 3-9 and a Bushnell AR Optics 4.5-18) so I probably won't bite. I had promised a friend he could have one of his choice, so theoretically I would be down to one..

Took apart a recent production Banner and was not impressed to say the least.

I wouldn't pay $10 for one- absolute junk.

I think if you're going to go to the economical options of the name brands, you're better off with the crossfire II/copperhead/sanora/whatever vortex calls those scopes. The banner line feels so flimsy, and not in the actually it's high tech/speed sort of way.

You might want to buy 4-5 of them since you'll have to replace them frequently. You get what you pay for. A friend of a friend is an exec with Bushnell. He says they sell many 100s of cheap Banners and make a bit of money on each one. Those sales account for a big chunk of Bushnell income. They count on selling junk scopes because most buyers will just toss the bad ones. Hope the ones you buy work Ok.

bought 4 of the banner 4-16s from walmart a while back, one bad, 3 good......I have nicer stuff and id still buy one.

My first savage I bought came with a Bushnell banner . Paid under 200 for both as a package and still works after 30+ years and the rifle is a 30-06. I would have thought recoil would have destroyed it. Like you I sometimes can not pass up on a good deal and I will buy them. A couple of years ago I bought 2 Bushnell Forge scopes because they were 50% off and were being discontinued, no regrets yet.

I paid full price for a 3-9x40 for my super cheap muzzleloader.

I can’t really argue with its cheapness but it did work well for the application.
