I was having a problem trimming my 5.56mm cases using the 3-in-1 trimmer. The trimmer was cutting the cases on an angle. ie: set to trim 5.56mm to 1.750 and one end would be 1.750 and the opposite end would be 1.747 or 1.746. This all started from day one so I called forester up expecting a runaround but the tech said to send the unit back and supply 3 timmed cases and 3 untrimmed cases. So I boxed everything up and sent it out and just about 2 weeks later I received my trimmer and newly trimmed cases that were spot on. The tech wrote me and said that they readjusted the 3-in-1 to factory specs and that I shouldn't have any more problems.Well I just trimmed 300 LC 5.56mm brass set at 1.750 and It works fantastically. The trim is clean as is the chamfer and outside bevel. And best of all, there was no charge. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Thank you Forester.

I use the 3-way on a 40 year old Forster Trimmer.....love it. Mine's motorized and mounted vertically, for speed. Heres a video of my set up.

Good trimmer...good company.

Thanks for the compliment. My need was to have a fast way to trim that didn't make my old wrists and hands hurt after the first 20 rounds.

Very good viedo!!! I use my trimmer in the vertical also, does wonders for accuracy. My setup is not quite as fast as yours but it works. Did I see an RCBS 4X4 in the background? Good press.

No, that's a Pro 2000......the reason for speedifying my Forster! When you start using a progressive, the bottlenecks (trimming is one) become real noticeable pain-in-the-necks.:)

I'm still in search and destroy mode. (of bottlenecks) See the RCBS section in the "Read First" tacked thread at AR15.com for more such projects.

Hard keeping up with a progressive. Your right trimming does become a bottleneck. How do you like your 2000?

I tried out a Dillon 650 first. I found it more complicated than I wanted, harder to change calibers, and it didn't have the awesome APS primer system. So I bought the Pro 2000 nearly 5 years ago now. Really, really like the Pro 2000! Fits my style to a tee. I buy pre-primed strips for the most part, and with them there is no primer system as fast or as safe.

Not that the Dillon isn't a great press....just not the best choice for my version of the hobby.
