Hey guy and gals. I have a buddy that has had multiple surgeries on both shoulders. His deer rifle is a 30-06 and he, at the moment can't handle the recoil it produces. He wants to try the 110 TSX this year on Missouri whitetails. Anybody have a load that will push these to around 2800 fps?

I shoot a lot of Sierra 125gr ProHunters using H4895 @ 39gr-40gr. It's wonderfully accurate in all my rifles.

I read this thread and tried a reduced charge of H4895 with a 110 grain Speer TMJ RN for my 11 year old son. He loves it and has no problem with the recoil. Saved me the cost of a new rifle, since I already had a 30-06 bolt action.

Very happy!

47gr of H4895 shows an 80% fill and around 2833 fps for 1961 ft-lbs from quickload with the Barnes 110gr.
