Actually I was looking for a cut off jig to for .350RM brass when I stumbled on this:

https://elite3ddesign.com/products/3223184179281

I'm primarily interested in his .350RM version, but I also load for 300 Blackout, so I figured what the heck, while I'm getting set up for one, might as well be prepared to do the other. It looks like the guy makes multiple jigs based on his site.

Has anybody used one?

I just ordered the Squirrel daddy jig last night because it seems like all the youtube videos I was watching on Youtube used that and it seems pretty straight forward.

I had one for the 300blk when I had a 300blk.
It left the cases a bit too long for my taste but a guy has to final trim it anyway so a bit more than needed wasn't a huge concern.

The biggest complaint is really about the saw itself...what a POS that thing was :cuss:. Best of luck.

I've read about the saw issues, so I "up-gunned" to one of these:

Wife also does some craft 'stuff', so it was an easy sell.

Very cool, I like the metal construction. I may shoot them an email and ask if they can do one in .350RM.

I bought one of those cheap $40 HF saws and this jig from Amazon for 300 AAC Blackout
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086SCB6YC/

I had to blue Locktite the set screw on the jig to prevent it from backing out but once I got everything dialed in, the setup works great. I've processed about 500 cases and they function great. The cutoff setup hasn't drifted and cuts the brass just fine. Maybe it's the technique that matters. I push very gently and let the blade do the work. I bought a couple of extra blades, but the original is still going strong.

I bought a squirrel daddy one that I had to modify for 300 hamr. It was metal, which I liked, but it had some issues I had to resolve. If I was doing it again, I'd probably buy the elite 3d one.

I made 300 Blackout cases back before the jigs were available. These look good and I wish that I had one.

If I remeber, my saw was marketed by Micro Mark. I’m not sure it was better, or any different from the Harbor Freight model.

What I found was the blade lasted longer and cut better if you let it cut and not force it. The blade would do a quick plunge cut but it would wear out quickly and cutting would suffer.

I’d cut my cases a little long so that trimming would not only make the case the correct length but square the case mouth as well.

Since 300 Blackout cases have been available, I have not made any but it is nice to have the capability.

I made a cutter for a business in Dallas a few years ago, they paid for the final design so I haven’t showed it off but it was basically a direct drive, dual feed version of my test fixture using a cheap drill press.

Blades are changed out every 3, five gallon buckets of brass. They could get more out of them but wanted the process dry.

Man I love your machinery and processing videos!

I wish I had your skills, training and design sense.

I've made a few attempts myself, but they look more like Rube Goldberg meets Steampunk then gets brutally vandalized by Beavis and Butthead. :(

Besides breaking chit, I often manage to hurt myself!

I've resigned myself to letting the professionals do their thing and writing the checks....

I have one, haven’t used it in a few years. Haven’t had a use. I used it a couple times and converted about 1000 223/556 brass to black out. Works great with the harbor freight mini chop saw. If your interested in that pair it with the little crows gunworks perfect trimmer.
