$300 Burning a Hole in My Pocket and a Major Itch for a New Shotgun

I trimmed my shotgun collection recently and the only shotgun I currently own is a full camo---12ga 3.5in--24in Benelli Nova with mag extention.

In the the big scheme of things this is the only shotgun I really need---because this set-up will basically do everything---while not perfect for all duties---it will still get the job done.

Sometimes gun "wants" are irrational----cause I don't need it.

Anyway----the 2 top choices so far are a 24in. 20ga Benelli Nova(all-black) or one of the Lanber O/U's being offered by CDNN----both are at the $300 mark +/-.

Which would you go with---in regards to quality--uses--ability to maintain their value(I know---not much cause they're cheap guns in the 1st place)---and any other reasons you can think of???

Or are there other shotguns you can think of that I should consider??

My vote is for the Benelli. Different gauge will give you something to play around with, and Benelli makes a decent shotgun.

Buy the 20 ga. Get to know it, and I think you too will find that if you can use lead shot the 20 is all the shotgun a guy will ever need for anything. 20's are much more pleasant to carry while hunting too, handle like lightning and kill every bit as good as a super magnum mangler if you put the shot on target.

You have 3.5" for steel shot covered, the 20 is the next logical step IMO.

Neither would be my first choice, OBG, but of the two, the 20's the better one. I've gotten a lot of good input about the Lanbers, but I'm skittish on cheap doubles of either kind.

Novas are getting a workhorse reputation, a 20 makes sense...

Stay away from low end Turkish doubles . The internals tend to be improperly hardened .

Benelli gets my vote between the two .

Um, what will you use it for? Ducks, pheasants, geese, deer? It makes a difference.

Well you already have your 12ga duck, goose, deer shotgun.

The 20ga Nova with 24"bbl is going to be a good upland game gun and handy around the house

The O/U will do that too. If it's a 12ga and or has a 28" or longer bbl, I would do the Nova. I would prob do the Nova anyway.
