300 WSM 168 TTXS Vihtavuori N150

I haven't quite found that magic powder yet for my A-Bolt 300 WSM, Barnes 168 TTXS. RL17 has it screaming and at an inch/inch and an eighth at 100 yds. Very please but always looking for more precission.

A lot of threads suggest H380 and W760. Right between the two on the burn rate chart sits Viht N150. The only Viht powder I can find published is for N160 and N165 (I don't have N550 on hand).

Any experience with N150 using a 165/168 grain bullet in 300 WSM? Or the other Vihts for that matter. Next range day will be three new powders for this rifle/bullet: H4350, W760, and either N150 or N160.

Just got 8 lbs of the N150. Going to use it for Win 308. Haven't loaded anything yet. Seems like N160 would be better for your needs.

The N550 is double base so it is going to burn hotter.

I always put in a load request on their site. I've never gotten a load back but mise well try....
