I have really been enjoying my .22 suppressor for a while now, and its time to move up. I want to get a .308 caliber suppressor to use on my remington 700 30-06 and my Ak. I have been hearing good things about the Gemtech HVT and the AWC Thundertrap and the SRT Shadow series.

Wondering what you guys could tell me about these. Or should I be looking at some others?

All good cans, also the AAC Cyclone... sleek and sexy... works on 5/8x24 thread

Get what you can afford... shoot subsonic ammo... and you gonna be a happy camper :)

P.S. Just cause it's expensive, don't make it quieter...

Yep yep you sure do. Hopefully talking my dealer out of killing me with out of state fees and BS to get one from you soon lol.

Do check out those thunderbeasts OP.

I have a HVT I've been happy with.

You won't get too much input from owners though in general of large caliber suppressors; they're as rare as hens teeth in the wild.

Perhaps it's where you look. There is a lot of feedback about .30 caliber suppressors over on SnipersHide, and at our Steel Safari match last year roughly a third of the competitors used suppressors.

i have about 1500 rounds through my thunderbeast 308 titanium suppressor, having owned it since last spring. it's definitely light weight, well-made and low-drama. i'd recommend it without hesitation.

Give the titanium cans a serious look if you are doing any shooting that isn't from the bench/prone. Yes, they are more expensive, but they about 1/2 the weight. The longer your bbl, the more that weight will factor in.
