Awesome glad it worked out for you. I've got a RA compact 308 that is really accurate after initial so so with the first generation wobbly stock touching all along one side. I opened it up and made sure it was clear of the barrel all along and all was good.

Just to chime in real quick I have bought 2 nikon scopes that came broken NIB one had no windage adjustment and one the screws that hold the turret down was stripped after dealing with nikon customer service I will never buy one again it's all vortex or leupold for me now

Well here are the results. I used 168 and 150 grain several variations. I used bipod, lead sled and sand bags. After getting my rifle back from Ruger it did help. The groups I was getting was in the 6 in range. This has been cut in about half. At 100 yards I was getting about 3 inch groups. It did not seem to matter what the ammo or rest I used. I am at a loss and have decided that this gun is just not for me. I will chalk it up to me and the gun do not seem to work together. I don't want to blame the gun. Ruger said that they were getting shots through the same hole at 50 yards. I have now tried three scopes and several types of ammo and three different rests. I think its time to sell it and maybe go with the Savage or Remington.

I can not believe how fast it sold. I got a call about an hour after putting it up on armslist and sold it. Made money not much but I got to shoot it and sold it and got my money back. I am now looking at the Remington 700 Varmit in 308.
