Any one use a 32 H&R mag by Charter Arms. If so what do you think? I did a search and cannot get the web site to load. Thanks

Charter Arms .32 H&R Magnum

I currently own two CA revolvers in .32 Mag. One is a POLICE Off Duty and the other is a POLICE Bulldog. Both hold 6 rounds, the first has a 2 1/2" barrel and the second a 4" barrel and both are late production 1st Generation (Stratford CONN) pieces. I have found both to be very good to excellent in fit and finish and both are good to v. good in the accuracy dept. Since the 3rd Generation - Shelton/Charter Arms 2000/MKS Marketing pieces are a direct extension of the 1st Generation - I would expect them to be just as good as the originals. I know that early CA 2000 pieces suffered from some poor production quality and there were issues, but as far as I know those problems have been cleared up and current production (within the past 2 to 3 years) are an excellent value for the money. As to the efficiency of the .32 H&R Magnum round: they are more energetic and hit harder than .32 ACP; they shoot flatter than the .38 SPL, but have smaller diameters and less projectile weight, therefore they will not retain momentum and impact energy over longer ranges. Federal and several other manufacuturers, including Hornady make SD rounds for this chambering. It seems to be a trade off - less recoil but less striking energy. They are what they are. I find this round to be v.good to excellent in accuracy through several different brands of firearms. Taurus, S&W, Ruger and CA, as well as a couple others, all have made or are currently making revolvers, mostly smaller frame, chambered for this round, so I'm guessing sales are decent and the round has been accepted in the market place.
