350 Legend vs 300 BO

7.62x39. I have a mildly irrational hatred of 300 BO and rebated rims in general (so, no 350 L).
Or

And dura mags.

Some friends and I were looking at this last year and decided on the 300HAMR, one shot a deer with it this year, was only a little over 50yrds but DRT, we've all shot it out to 200yrds with 135gr bullets and was consistently ringing steel.
Another barrel to look at is the 20" rifle length gas, mine is sweet shooting and very accurate.

I have both, as well as a .450 Bushmaster. Sometimes magazines can be a issue in all of them, but it's a easy fix.
I prefer 300 blackout for ease of ammo finding and reloading components.
you can buy 350L ammo at any Walmart or gunshop in the country, Winchester did an excellent job of introducing and supporting it, it is one of the most widely supported calibers available right up there with 5.56 308 6.5 Creedmoor

For range or HD/SD the 300 blk is fine. My SIL uses his for whitetails, 3 shots =3 deer in the freezer. Longest shot 65 yards.
I opted for the .350 Legend for deer. Easy to reload (even cast bullets), very accurate.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to find good stuff here in Northern Nevada. Walmart usually only has the WWB stuff. I'm slowly building my stock. But I can get cases of 300 bo
