OK, I have to admit that I like the 145 grain Silvertips myself.

Put me down for the Silvertips too.
I even load my own too. Loaded with 6.6gr of Win 231, I get 1060fps with muzzle energy of 360ft lbs. Shoots a little lighter than factory, but very accurate and plenty deadly.
Back-up to that load, 158gr XTPs with 16.0gr of Win 296 yields 1170fps & 479 ft lbs of energy. That's a SERIOUS can of Whoop-A$$!!

For what it's worth... even from a short little 2.5" snubby .357, the 145 gr. Silvertip flies at 1241 fps and nearly 500 fpe. That's a lot of serious power from such a short barrel!

They seem to be made-to-order for a four inch .357.
Plus, my GP-100 fixed sight shoots them to point of aim.

I have a handload using a 158 Remington SJHP that does a bit over 1200 fps. It seems to be pretty good.
