JimKirk you are correct, technically. But I'm tempted to respond "It's life, Jim, but not as we know it."

I guess the best way to address this is to say whatever works safely. Since I have only 1 gun in this caliber, a rarity occurrence in my collection, I could resize to headspace on the shoulder. In fact it may be doing just that...but I have a working load in which I am confident now and that makes me happy.

I am not sure exactly what you mean by the above statement ... but I'll assume that you mean ... most rimless bottle neck cartridges are headspaced off the shoulder and that is life as we know it ...
