.357 Sig reloading...

Just be very careful loading those short bottlenecked cases. You must get a tight bullet fit, or else the bullet could get pushed back into the case during feeding, which = a Kb!

I would load the ammo, then in a safe place hand cycle some through the action. Recheck those rounds to make sure the bullets aren't getting pushed deeper.

I love 800X and am using it now to load my first rounds with my new RCBS Pro 2000. Will do 40 smith and 357 Sig this week. I'll let you know what I come up with.

9 grains was terrific. It snapped a little and the manual said it could take 10 grains but 9 had a 3 inch group at 25 meters with a couple of flyers that were me not the gun or bullet. I'd say we have a real winner. I use 800X for 45 Long Colt also with excellent results.

I loaded 8.5, 9.0, and 9.5 of 800-X at 1.135" OAL because I wanted to get rid of my last scraps. It created an alright flame and boom but it didn't compare to the Blue-Dot loads I had. My impression on shooting it was that its recoil was completely manageable but it felt high in the hand. Not Bullseye hard and high, more like Titegroup high. I'd give you velocities but I'm still waiting for Pact to finish their new chronograph!

If you like the feel of 800-X, try Blue dot and you will get the same powerful blast but the gun remains much more neutral in your hand, IMHO. Seems to throw a larger flame as well. Also, for me, 800-X doesn't meter very well and for the max loads I did them by hand. No such trouble with the blue-dot. Good luck!
