Anyone loaded the RMR JHP with Autocomp in a .38 sup.? I've been using 6.0 grains with the 124 match plated and I'm out. I can go to a manual for some jacketed info, but real-life data with this exact bullet would be better if anyone has tried this combo. Thanks, JD

Sorry, no. Is it a real JHP and not a plated-HP?
You are using a cartridge few shoot, with a bullet that few know about, and using a powder with little data. Best place would be Brian Enos or IDPA forums.
No matter what, you have changed bullet and, possibly, bullet construction. You must start back at the start load.
All that someone's load will tell you is that it worked in their gun with their mix of components.

Decided to abandon the Autocomp for now and went with the Sierra manual: 5.7 Titegroup. Shoots, good...

And yes, it is a real jacketed hollow point.

I have never seen AutoComp, so have never tried it.
I have a start load of 5.7gn AutoComp and Max load of 6.2gn. I also have Major loads (PF > 165).

For TiteGroup, I have data from two manuals:
4.4gn start and 5.0gn MAX
and
5.0gn start and 6.0gn MAX.
The thing is, the 5.0gn start load has a velocity of 1150 fps and the 5.0 MAX load has a velocity of 1124 fps.
Question: was 5.7gn TiteGroup the max load and you just loaded it or was it the start load? From my manuals, that would not be a load to just start using without working up.

In my .38 Supers, I have gotten decent accuracy with MG JHP with 4.2-4.7gn TiteGroup, Zero 121 38 Super JHP and 3.8-4.6gn TiteGroup, and Hornady 121gn JHP and 4.0-4.5gn TiteGroup. None of these were hot in my guns using my components.
