.410 Cobray a DD?

No, it doesn't exist (as far as I know). But theoretically, were one to redesign and manufacture a Street Sweeper in .410, wouldn't it be a Title I firearm seeing as the 12ga was classified a DD technically because of bore size?

A .410 Saiga is probably infinitely more practical, but a Cobray in .410 would just be awesome to play with.

The DD designation is based largely on the caliber/gauge. The Taurus 'Judge/Circuit Judge' and S&W 'Governor' are not DDs because they fire the .410 and .45 cartridges. If they were not (marginally) rifled, they would fall under SBS rules. DD appears to start at .5 inch and larger. Some larger caliber rifles exist based on the "sporting use" test, but the Street Sweeper was not able to pass that test; Saiga 12s almost fell to the same rule.

Actually they'd be smoothbore pistols. That falls under the Title II "Any Other Weapon" category rather than SBS. Not "designed or redesigned to be fired from the shoulder?" Isn't legally a "shotgun," short barrel or not.

I wouldn't quite say it that way. Some larger caliber rifles have the benefit of having an exemption requested and granted because the petitioners argued that they were for sporting uses. Not so much a "test" as an "opinion."

Prince Yamato was correct that there is a version called "Ladies Home Companion". I've seen variants in .410-bore and .45-70 Gov't.
