I recently acquired a .410 MEC Sizemaster. My 28ga, 20ga, and 12ga Sizemasters were ready to go right out of the box. However, this .410 press seems to be in need of major adjustments (or is perhaps defective).

Pics tell the story better than my newbie vocabulary can.

1 - Hulls seem to fall all the way through the sizing station.

2 - The pre-crimp station does almost nothing, and the crimp station seems to be set up for a roll crimp.

Am I missing some obvious and simple adjustments? Is it possible the press is set up for 3" hulls (2.5" hull is in the pics)?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

MEC offers a version of the .410 Sizemaster that is set up for 3” shells.

If the crimp stations are doing little or nothing to a 2-1/2” hull, I’d say your press is adjusted for 3” hulls.
