I've been kicking around the idea of getting a TC Encore with a 45/410 barrel. I'd use the 45LC for deer hunting, and the 410 for ground squirrel elimination while mowing around the place. If I get a barrel for both 45 and 410, do I losing out on accuracy with the 45? I'm sure someone will say that the accuracy will be good enough for out to xx yards, which is plenty good for deer. That's not what I want, though. I want something accurate, and if I'm giving up accuracy with a 45/410 barrel, I won't be happy. Thoughts? Thanks, Neil

The rifling in my .410/45 TC barrel is almost nonexistent. The 45 bullets tumble shortly after leaving the barrel, so I never shoot them.

About all that can be said for the accuracy is the bullets do fly away from you.:D

I can't attest to the encore, but I've had 3 contender barrels, all shot the same, lousy. That's a big jump to the rifling. You could look into loading the 450 Mongo for it tho. I've never done it myself, but I've read good things.
