I get a couple or so thousand lrn 230g bullets whenever a decent deal comes by. My last purchase was through an individual on line. Looked good, lubed, gas check. I shoot them in a Colt series 80, a Remington 1911A1, and a FEG. Load is 5g of Red Dot. This bunch were causing feeding problems. Had only loaded a couple of hundred. I started checking for the problem - they were not sized. I got my .45 acp sizing die and started running the rounds up in it (single stage press) and about one in ten would squeeze the bullet out of the case. I resized the cases but the pressed bullets now were too small to fit tightly. Options: trash the bullets or make the cases smaller. I used a .44 sizing die, ran the cases in it about halfway, then added powder and reseated the bullets. Fit perfectly.

Gas checked .45 ACP? Odd.

A good purchase for you is this:

If you suspect the bullets are too wide, just lube 'em up with Lee Alox (included) and run them through the sizer... the extra lube won't hurt a thing.

Doesn't take long, either, and for 14 bucks you aren't out much.

WoW!

Gas-check 230 .45 ACP bullets?
Wonder where he got a mold for those?

Lubed, but not sized?
Wonder how he did that with a Lubrisizer?

Loaded rounds, sized by you in your "45 sizing die", but now bullets too small to stay in a .45 ACP case without sizing the cases again in a .44 die?

I'm just baffled by the whole train of events!

Bet they will shoot like gang-busters! :uhoh:
