.454 and .410

will a 454 case load into a standard 410 chamber? like say if i wanted to, could i get a 454 case to cycle and chamber in a pump or lever gun in 410?

just thinking on the ideaof short metal shotgun shells and since the the taurus judge seems able to put 45 colt in with 410...i figured it would give better power a shot launcher then a 45 colt case.

I seem to remember seeing an ad for brass shotgun shells but can't remember WHO had them. If 45 Colt brass will fit so would a 454 as the 454 is .100" longer.

Magtech makes brass 2 1/2" .410 shotgun shells. Midway (and other distributors) sell them

I use 444 Marlin cases to make 2 1/2' .410 to use in my Single shots and my SXS. They will not cycle in my Mossberg Pump or in the Winchester 9410. I just use .410 shot cups and 2 1/2" load data.

I have shot 405 gr .458" cast, 40 gr H110 in a 45 Colt case with large rifle primer in a break action Stevens .410.


That is a 454 double load, but is longer OAL.
