.454 Glock Conversion

Ah, the Ragin' Glock. Looks like its creator, Doomfish, is forever losts in the mists of intternet time and lost archives. A quick GT search led me to a TFL thread in which Tamara had linked to the Ragin' glock thread, but alas it is gone.

Kid never did 'splain how he was gonna make it fit in the magazine. I think it had a titanium barrel for extra strength.

I have always felt that the "awesome recoil" of the .454 was a bit overdone. I have a Super Redhawk in .454 Casull and it's a fine gun which handles the recoil well. Please note that it weighs 3 1/2 pounds.

I have calculated that a 26 ounce Glock chambered for the .454 Casull would impact the gunners forehead at approximately Mach 1.68. That being said, there is probably no substantive reason for a magazine holding subsequent rounds.

On the other hand, I am currently working on the concept of a NAA Guardian in 45.70 Government. Hell of a mouse gun!

I got that concept too. Here's how it's gonna work when I get 1K spare bucks. Buy a BFR in .45-70 and cut the barrel back to 2". Ought to be a pocketful of fun if you have big enough pockets.

How about using 450 SMC brass with a .223 bullet, necked down and shortened to overall length of the ACP cartridge? OORAH

Watch for the mushroom cloud...

at least the crater will be easy to find, even if he ain't.

Do any of you guys remember that cat off Glock Talk that was talking about his custom Glock in .454 Casull?

O.......M..........G!!!!!!!!!:what: :what: :what: :what:

Yeeeeeah! Homeboy be strapped, straight cappin on yo' a**!

Someone post a link......Please!!

I've just GOTTA read this one!!!

When the original Casull came out...they did a cut down barrel test to see its loss in velocity....true story. Down to 2" and it still had some pretty good oomph! :what:

I thought...hmmmmm. How about a snub.....for CCW! :what: :what:

On TFL, at about the same time...I read a thread loosely based on the same theory..........someone gave a senario about a GG confronting a BG with a snubby Casull............

Here's a not totally accurate rendition of it...............

Scenario....court! Defense attorney, Prosecuting attorney etc....

PA.. " So mister GG...at the time the police arrived and you were standing over the still smoking body! What was going through your mind....? Let me ask you sir....What was so threatening about this Hairless, naked BG who had no weapon of anykind?"

GG...."Well sir, at the time of his surprising me and telling me to hand over my money or I was a dead man.....he had a s/auto handgun and was fully clothed"

PA..."You say he was armed, threatened you and at the time was fully clothed?"

GG..."Yes sir...he was pointing his weapon at me and was indeed fully clothed"

PA..."What happened then sir...can you recount what exactly happened for us?

GG..."Well....I felt my life was in immediate danger...I was hoping for a small chance to run....but he had me cornered. A noise got his attention for a second and I took the opportunity to draw my legally carried concealled weapon"

PA.."What happened next?"

GG..."I fired my weapon at him sir"...."however I was so scared I missed"

PA...."Well according to the Coroners report..the BG's cause of death was a massive heart attack! And an interesting note...on the Police report notes it states "the BG's eyes were locked wide open as if hed seen a ghost"...at the time of their arrival"

GG..."Yes sir"

PA.."What exactly is your choice of CCW, sir?

GG..."Well, as a citizen of the USA, I choose to carry a 2" barrelled 454 Casull revolver sir"

PA..."And this sir is the reason for the BG's death!" You sir are a murderer!"

GG..."Respectfully, NO SIR...I am not! I merely choose to carry the strongest handgun I can controll...as it is my right"

PA..."What exactly happened when you fired the only shot fired in this situation?"

GG..."Well its pretty blurry still, but I brought the gun up and fired a single shot! The BG's gun was blown out of his hands, his clothes were torn off and all of his bodily hair was singed off by my guns muzzle blast...sir!"

PA..."There is a note here his Beretta ..they cant tell what model it was, as it is mostly melted, was found 3 blocks down the street"

GG..."I guess I can understand that sir"

I just goes to show you....even a miss can be a hit with a snub Casull..........................beware of naked, smoking BG's with no gun! :neener:

Shoot well

The .308s in the back while putting together an NEF rifle. That's pretty good...

But I'm still looking for the .454 Casull Glock... and CNC milled titanium or something like it slugs for super velocity and ultimate killng power or something. Yeah, I think it was Gecko that posted it under one of his handles.
