I received an e-mail from MidwayUSA saying that the .458 SOCOM brass that I just purchased last week was under a manufacturer recall.
After e-mailing the Starline rep, I was told that the rim diameter on some of the brass may be undersized. "The Rim Diameter on the bad SOCOM’s is .446”-.448”, which is .025” smaller than the standard diameter of .471”-.473”"
He also said that if I found any of the bad brass in my batch they'd replace them 2-for-1.
So just a heads up to anyone who recently purchased .458 socom brass.
