460 sizing issue

I am attempting to size and lube 325 grain gas checks for my 460 sw. The gas checks go on fine and size at .452. The bullets after sizing come out at .4505 to 4515. I am using an RCBS Lubri Matic 2 with a .452 sizing die. The die is making the bullet shiny only on one side and I am getting varying measurements around the bullet. Any suggestions??????

Make sure the top punch fits the bullet. Try sizing a bullet without the gas check, does it still size one side more than the other? Could be a bad die if its sizing bullets out of rounds. What is the diameter of the bullets as they drop from the mould? They have to be larger than the die. At least .453" & they will not be round coming out of the mould.

Checked the unsized bullets this morning. They are coming out of the mould .4505 to .4515. Perhaps my alloy is too hard????? I am going to call Lyman at 9 am to see if they can shed some light on this problem.

Antimony will increase the diameter of the bulllets as they drop from the mould. Linotype contains antimony & will also make the bullets harder. Different alloys available here > http://www.rotometals.com/Bullet-Casting-Alloys-s/5.htm
