.50 ar uppers

Anyone have exeperience with safety harbor or ferret .50 uppers for ar's? I have been considering one in 18-22" range, buying another ar then slapping my spare nf SHV scope on it. Mainly looking to reach out past 1000 yards but without a 4 foot long gun I have to lug around.

As in a bolt action 50 BMG upper? Reaching out past 1000 yards with 50 Beowolf is unrealistic.

I dont think a 22" 50 bmg is a good idea.

I would not. Buddy has the 29" model and it is a handful. Recoil is not too bad, but after about 15 rds. or so I want to find something else to play with. Shorter and lighter doesn't give me a good feeling. They are well built and accurate, had no problems hitting milk jugs at 500 yards with M2 ball ammo. Their shop is about 25 miles from where I live and have been to their shop twice, real good people there.

I want one as well, but don't think I could afford to feed it,lol.(primers are 350.00 per 1000)
