I bought one several years ago to add to my collection. It's a fun gun to shoot. I cast my own bullets and powder coat them. I started with H100 moderate loads, but after 5 shots, the ribs on the rubber grips made my palms sore. I worked up a lighter load with Trail Boss and it's much easier on my hands. Even light loads are impressive- I have some steel targets on my pistol range that I shoot with everything from 22LR to 44 mag with no problems. Since it's a pistol range, the targets are bolted to hinged 2x4s that hang from the back stop. One shot with the lighter S&W 500 load ripped one off the stand and sent it flying. One of the guys I was shooting with said it reminded him of the scene in Police Academy where Tackleberry destroys a target at the police range using a S&W 629. It's the one gun I always break out when someone comes to my range for the first time- the 440 gr bullet is great for demolishing bottles.
