Hello
Id like to share a load experience and ask for some load advice.
I am aware different rifles like different loads but in my experience, most like a given load and need fine tuning only. Either way.
Does anyone have any experience with a good 120g GMX load for 6.5CM using H4895, Varget or H4350? I dont have access to other powders.

Seating depth of 2.710 as per hornady manual seem abit short. Any experience including charge and seating depth would be appreciated.

My experience: tried a reduced load of 28g H4895 with Fed 210M, hornady brass and 130g TGK, produced a 3 shot 218" group @ 50m
And 5 shot 0.265" group @ 50m (only available range atm) out of a 6.5CM howa varmint 26" in XRS chasis.

I've only gone as low as the 130 gr GK in my 6.5CM. The Varget worked the best for that weight. As I went up H4350 produce the most accurate. I've tested both of these out to 300 yrds. Both produced sub MOA groups.

Sorry, can't help you with the light 120gr .

Hello
A hunting round but still chasing accuracy.

Just information that may be useful ... the GMX are a tougher bullet than the Barnes TTSX that I and several hunting partners use ... You gonna need to drive them as fast as you can(accurately) for them to expand on whitetail deer ...larger game may be different...

Hornady has or has plans to drop the GMX for the CX bullet which are showing up now to purchase now... the CX is supposedly to correct the "faults" with the GMX... the jury is still out on that...

Unless You have a good supply of GMX ... I may rethink developing and using up components.

Also consider the 100 grain Barnes TTSX in the 6.5 Creedmoor...

Agree with jmr40 ... the Barnes data should work ...
