hey guys, I just wanted to give a little briefing on some load work I'm currently working on for my custom rpr 6.5 creedmoor. I have about 400 fired hornady cases from some once fired 147gr eld match ammo I picked up at the range. all the boxes and case cartons were there! well anyway, I'm trying to get past a few hurdles I've had in prs competition and wanted a more economical brass for use. because, you lose a lot of brass, and it pained me to lose nearly a box of my Peterson. but, to the point. I recently picked up re26 for my 6.5-06 and decided to give it a try in the creed with a 140gr eld-m. I started @ 46gr and worked to 49gr @ aics mag length. I worked in 0.5gr increments to get a rough start and direction. 48gr seems to be a strong point in my rifle. I ended up with 2949fps average which is damn amazing for a 140gr projectile in the creed. BUT, I had zero issues with pressure until 49gr! and that was just a slight shiny spot on some brass that has began to tarnish. I plan to work in smaller increments above and below 48grs to see if I can get the groups better. at 48gr the group was about 5/8" @ 100yds. what do yall think?
