Im about to make my first order from RMR since I finally broke down and bought an AR. Using the search feature I have noticed that these bullets are VERY well thought of as far as accuracy is concerned. But I have a couple quick questions. Should I dig out the polishing media that is likely to be stuck in the meplat or is that not worth the effort? Is there a current discount code for THR someone could PM me?

I love our 69s. I've recently been out testing them because we've changed copper suppliers and all I can say is that the latest stuff shipping out is the most accurate stuff I've ever tested. I have tested them with and without the media in the noses and there is no measurable difference that I can find. Especially now that we have the tips really really tight.

I use a pin to clear the opening because I have OCD, but it falls into the cavity. It's only usually one kernels worth, and I'm positive that even if left untouched they will perform equally well. Come to think of it, maybe its worse flopping loose in the cavity?? Anyways, im 1 moa with mine at 200yds with or without. I just clear thrm cuz OCD. These perform the same as my 69gr Match Burners but way less money. 1000004211.jpg 1000004210.jpg

I have not has the same luck with them. My AR just does not like them very much, and it's not from lack of trying. I may have gotten a bad batch of 1000, I guess. They are gathering dust on the back of shelf at this point.

Hmm. What is your barrel twist?
When these things work, they work.
This is unusual

I dropped 1 piece of corn cob media in my zerod out scale. It didn't register anything, so it's maybe 1/100th of a grain at most.
I'm not sure what the weight tolerance specs are on these bullets, but I'm willing to bet it's at least 100 times more than that anyways.....
The corn cob is a fugazi.. all that matters is weight and concentricity.

Like almost any bullet, some barrels won't like them, it happens, but really good bullets will shoot well to great in most good to great barrels.

I can take a gun/bullet combo that will shoot one hole groups at 100/200 yards, damage the tips and still shoot them into one hole at that distance.

The tips are nearly meaningless up close.

Thanks Jake, Im ordering them right now then.

I was shooting these 69gr bullets back a couple years ago through my Savage Model 10 for a local league. They were holding 1/2 - 2/3 MOA out to 300yds. Then I got a Model 11 with a Model 12 26" Varmint barrel and that barrel doesn't like them one bit. But it does shoot 69gr SMK and Barnes Match Burners like the 10 shot the RMR.

Now I may have to pick up a small bag and retry them.

Flat shooting bullet, flat shooting cartridge, flat shooting barrel, best guess... 2 MOA at 100yds. what ever the powder.

I’m curious about how these do in a 1:9 barrel. I’ve got a 1:9 20” AR and I wonder what others have seen.

My 1:9 twist barrels do not like much anything over 62gr. Over 65 gr and the group opens up. I have tried them in my guns and get slightly over 1 moa. Where a 52 gr is <1/2 moa at 100 yrds.

1:7,16". It shoots consistent 1/2" groups at 100 yards with SMK's.
Wow, that's really good from a carbine, better than I could ever do.
I'd have to wonder if you did get a bad batch of bullets then. It can happen with any MFG.

Some barrels do not like our bullets. I've had a couple customers send some back saying that they were bad bullets but when I tested them they shot 1/2" MOA for me. The new bullets I sent them didn't shoot any better than the first ones. Some barrels just won't shoot them. Not sure what it is about them that some guns don't like but we're pretty anal about weigh, diameter and ogive length so I doubt it has anything to do with bullet inconsistency. We've gotten really good at making these things the last year or so.

I tried some out using H335 in an AR 15 platform. The upper is a 24" bull barrel, 1:8. And the lower used has a mil-spec trigger and collapsible stock. With that, I was getting about 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards. I'm sure with a better stock and trigger, that would close up some. The rest would be on me.

I’m working with them now. I used Shooters World data for Match Rifle and Tactical Rifle. I tried AR Plus but that didn’t work very well. I used the COAL from Shooters World too, which is 2.245” IIRC.

I tried digging out the corn cob bits but I think I was doing more harm than good, so I stopped. They shot pretty good from both my 20” and 16” barrels with Tactical Rifle and just a little better with Match Rifle. I’m going to push them a little faster. I would like to be in upper 2800-2900 fps range. I’m in the low 2700 range or less now.
