Those of you that are having success with these, what is the velocity that you are using? Twist rate?
Post some groups if you can.

Do you know the FPS average?I have 2 Savage rifles in 223Rem, a Model 10 with 22" Sporter barrel with 1:9 twist and a Model 11 with a 26" Heavy Varmint barrel. The model 10 loves them and will shoot 3/4MOA with a number of different powders. The Model 11 will not shoot them at all. It hates them and again have tried 4 different powders. With the Model 10 when I was shooting across a chrono I couldn't get a good steady speed. Best Extreme Spread I ever achieved as a 26FPS and that was only once. Otherwise it was on the 40-60FPS range and on occasion even higher than that but it was still shooting small -MOA groups to 300yds. and a lot of that was my own inexperience. These were with a front bipod and rear bag.

I'm guessing that your model 11 has a 1:12 twist rate barrel?I have 2 Savage rifles in 223Rem, a Model 10 with 22" Sporter barrel with 1:9 twist and a Model 11 with a 26" Heavy Varmint barrel. Sorry, meant to include the Model 11 twist rate in the description but it too is a 1:9 twist and the barrel is actually a Model 12 223 Heavy Varmint 26". Have also fired Barnes, Hornady, Nosler and Sierra and the two it likes the least are the 68gr Hornady Match and the 69gr RMR.I'm guessing that your model 11 has a 1:12 twist rate barrel?
I'm struggling. This rifle is an R700 with an 18" 1:8 twist Bartlein. It shoots the Hornady 62 or 68 BTHP into .5" or less at 100 with 24.0 TAC. 77 SMK shoots tiny groups with just about any common 223 powder I put behind it, including a hot load of H322.69 grain SMK data
SW Tactical Rifle powder
2650 fps give or take
1/7 twist 20” barrel
Still tinkering though. I thought I had a good load but I have to grasp the easiest person for me to fool is me.
You can keep feeding a kid ice cream, but if they hate the flavor your not doing yourself any favors. Hopefully you didn't buy a hundred gallons of that flavor. Possibly the best news is that just about everyone makes 224 bullets. I'm guessing you were looking for a cheap bulk option. Jrb had really good luck with bobs' this is a multi part seriesI'm struggling. This rifle is an R700 with an 18" 1:8 twist Bartlein. I've stayed at 24 grains of TAC and IMR 4320 with different seating depths. Next I am going to try 24.4 and 24.7.
I had a similar experience with the Hornady 68 grain bullets in one of my rifles. Wouldn’t keep 5 shots in an 8” target from 200 yards. I wrote “Suggestion Box” on my scope and shot the few I had left and called it a day.I'm struggling. This rifle is an R700 with an 18" 1:8 twist Bartlein. The load fell apart for me at 24.4. 24 and 24.2 were good. Looks like you were seeing the same.I have several hundred gallons
My thought was that if it didn't shoot well in the bolt actions, I would run them in the AR.
I took more loads to the range today with the Lone Peak Fuzion, 1:7 24" Krieger. The hope was that the extra barrel length would help with my theory that velocity is the issue. That has yet to be completely proven but initial groups showed a big improvement. No chrono but 6" more barrel is definitely going to provide more velocity.

Top left was my first 5 shot group, including the clean, cold bore, using 24 grains of TAC, 2.260 OAL, CCI 450, LC brass, Lee FCD crimp
The others were either 24.3 or 24.7 of TAC. Some with Starline brass and Federal AR match primers. It was 70°F ambient, the primers still looked great at 24.7, so I will turn this load up another notch to see if a higher velocity node can be found.
