6th station? LnL AP

Okay guys, maybe I'm crazy but I'm fairly sure the hornady feeder die works better with the collets rearranged from what I *thought* was the way they intended. The directions don't come with a diagram of assembly. How are yall running yours? What I did was orient the collets so the big one is now on top, fingers pointing down, and the smaller one (without the inner lip) is upside down, with fingers pointing up. So fingers go toward each other. The case pushes up on the non fingered part and it just seems less damaging to the case, and i got more feeding and less jamming, and with a bit more sanding and bending May improve. I was also thinking the fingers are not as flexible as they should be, so I'm considering drilling holes around the base of them to increase their flexibility.

It gets worse, if you choose to have an expander die rather than settle for the powder drop's PTX. I have thought about a bullet feeder station, but it is a luxury, and I don't have room for a powder check. If I look in every case before placing a bullet, I am involved enough to maintain concentration.

I just had an instance this morning where the powder measure bound up, and I avoided rounds with no powder, since I was looking down into the 44 Special cases, using good lighting.

I could simplify my setup by dropping the expander, but I need it for lead bullets, which are problematic in a bullet feeder anyway.

I personally see no need to crimp .45ACP.
Both my Springfield Armory 1911 and my HK45 feed without issues and I've seen no evidence of bullet setback
I size/deprime on station #1
Expand/charge on station #2
RCBS lockout on station #3
Bullet feed on station #4
Seat on station #5

I wonder sometimes if we've all gone crimp crazy-
Not all of us. ;)

I only use the TC to remove any flaring that may be left after seating the bullet.
Yep, I adjust the "crimp" so that the shortest cases get the bell removed completely, which means the longest will get maybe .001+ "crimp".

That's cool, but you still need to do that as a step. Without then you will have a flared case no? I'm not crimp crazy, but i do flare.
