Im considering getting a CZ-52, and would like to know what current prices are for NEW currently made ammo are for it.

I know a local seller sells S&B and another sells Whinchester.

I have bought S&B for about $11.00 per box of 50 IIRC. I mostly shot the surplus stuff since it was hot and cheap. The new ammo is not going to be as powerful as the surplus stuff.

BTW, those CZ-52 are a blast to shoot. One of the most pure fun guns I have ever shot. I loved shooting objects with mine like old irons, iron plates and rocks. If you can shoot where it is safe and allowed, try some fun targets like that, it is just neat to shoot something like a .40S&W and then shoot a CZ-52 to see the difference in penetration. I have never seen any pistol load penetrate like the CZ-52. It acts like a carbine more than a pistol when it hits things. Super cool and super fun. I started calling it the poor man's Automag. :D

When pricing odd ball ammo I always check out Cheaper Than Dirt - worse case scenario you will have to order it. Might as well check into that option if you have to.

Winchester is NOT rebadged S/B ammo. No way- way too weak, and the win headstamp kinda gives it away :neener: . The win ammo is most likely (not fer sure) for the TT. BTW, have got some barrels extended and ported in 9mm LARGO (homemade) that rock and feed great.Watch out for those aftermarket rollers- got ahold of some soft ones that looked like triangles after a box of green surplus. The hot stuff. The site makorov.com has all the little parts a fella needs and the service was great a few years ago- been awhile since I purchased anything from that site.

Just because the ammo is headstamped Winchester does not mean it is not repackaged S&B. Look at the box, it is labled as being made in the Czech republic. I think Winchester lists this ammo as being about the same velocity as S&B seems be, but I would not doubt it if this ammo did get loaded down some to help keep pressures down in Tokarevs or if someone tries to fire it in a 7.63 Mauser Broomhandle.

Saying that Winchester 7.62x25 is not S&B just because it is headstamped WIN is like saying a NEF pardner pump is not Chinese because it is stamped New England Firearms.

Got to be careful when selling ammo, local chain used to sell hot Czechoslovakian subgu 7.62x25 ammo on the stripper clips with no warning! Kind of strange as this same chain used to sell Chinese Tokarevs for years before the Czech ammo came out.
