Apparently, Sportsman's Guide has a 7.62x25 barrel for the CZ-52 for $39 that's listed as '12x1 Metric', threaded.

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I'd thought Tok was way too supersonic for a silencer to be of use, so what would be the purpose? A screw-on brake?

Probably for a compensator (try Makarov.com for one - with high-velocity rounds, compensators help reduce recoil/muzzle flip) - but a .30 cal silencer would probably fit the thing - it'll be a little quieter than normal - but silencer is really a bad label. Muffler is a lot more accurate. It reduces the sound some - kind of changes the sound signature, so it sounds more like an airgun - silenced well enough, and you still hear noise, but it sounds like something else - airgun, clapping hands, board falling down and hitting the floor.

Most of the aftermarket threaded barrels are made more for the "tacti-cool" crowd than for folks planning to use a suppressor. Look at how many fake suppressors are out there too.
