well i have done research on this and found that bulgarian should be avoided in Cz 52s i know that there has already been lots of discussions on ammo issues in Cz52s but what i can't find is a list from hottest to least hottest surplus ammo.

i would like to use the one with least pressure for a Cz52 just to be on the safe side , but want a really hot round for my 7.62x25 ar15 which uses direct blow back. The polish tok ammo i have does not seem to have enough pressure to push the bolt back enough to eject the spent shells

thanks

Well, it's a little pricier, but Sportsmansguide.com has some good low end stuff. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=170601
1390 fps and 365 Ft/lbs. On the other hand; if you go and get some Wolf http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=244623
and get it up to 1722 fps and 560 ft/lbs. Also; a lot of the S&B and Winchester reloadable; which costs a bit more; is in the 1650 fps and 510 ft/lbs area.

If I pick up a TT-33 pistol; I will probably get whatever is cheapest for plinking; and get some S&B or Wolf HP for self defense. If I pick up a CZ-52 pistol; I'll probably get the slower for plinking; but may still keep a box of the heavy duty hollow points for self defense.

The Bulgarian that should be avoided is one specific lot from '53 IIRC. I tested some Bulgarian and Romanian and the Romanian was actually 100fps faster at 1400 fps. I have shot Polish, Bulgie and Romie thru all my CZs and Toks without any problems.

Has anyone here encountered any of th eCzech M48 loadings in recent years?IIRC,that was fairly brisk-yet it was supposed to be OK for VZ52's...just wondering.
BTW,that Wolf stuff IS fun-a buddy of mine at a range ran some thru a TTC;I lied it!

You could also try running with 7.63 Mauser in the CZ. That is surely low pressure enough to be safe for a CZ-52.
