I know a shop that specializes in antique guns had 6.5x55 gallery ammo (same idea, very small light bullet safe to to shoot indoors) and couldn't sell it at 25 cents/rnd

sgammo has it for under .30 a round Im sure some concentrated google-fu could find it cheaper, it was the first link.

Depends what you read it varies from 44-ish to 46-ish so I split the difference.
And its not the regular milsurp, its practice ammo, bullet looks like a pistol bullet.
I want to say it's a plastic core as well. I've shot hundreds of them, and they fully rock for plinking practice, but aren't as accurate as a typical round.

The recoil was at least 50% lighter though, which made shooting them even more fun.

I just bough some last month. I don't remember the price, but I do recall it was reasonable. I have yet to shoot any, but I'd really like to send some over a chronograph. I also have some 10gr Norma plastic training rounds I'd like to measure the velocity of. Those I have fired a few rounds of as well. They're described as having a velocity of 3,500 FPS to 4,200 FPS, depending on the source. Considering the blast they generate, I have no doubt they're speedy little pills.

These "training" rounds are great for plinking reactive targets with. The Norma rounds will atomize an apple at 10 yards. Great fun.

Ive shot some of mine, they dont kick bad at all, but boy do they flash!
Its fun little ammo, Im plannin to take it to the range to try at some distance, the bit iv shot so far was at my dads at about 30 yds or so.
