A reviewer of the Lee Classic Turret Press included this comment:

"...The 4 hole turret has a space for my Lyman 55 powder measure (using the 7/8x14 drop tube adapter) and this improved my loading speed."

Does anyone know what this "7/8x14 drop tube adapter" is and where I can buy one?

Thanks!

Sir. Believe the gent is referring to the difference in the threaded drop tube on the Lyman 55 and 7/8x14 thread size. The threaded tube on the #55 is the same as the old Junior dies. In order to use them or the 55 in a standard press, you had to bush the thing. There is a bushing available to adapt it to the 7/8 standard die . I had this do this to my old Lyman AA in order to install a #55. If you can't find one, pm me, I should have one or two somehere.

Yes, and I just learned that Lyman states that such adapter is included with their No. 55 powder measure.

Well, I have the habit of keeping all the original boxes and documents of all tools, etc. I buy, and looked at the box for my No.55, but there was no adapter; just two drop tubes and a locking ring. Perhaps they didn't include those adapters 35 years ago?

No problem, though - as posted, MidawayUSA has them for less than $7.

Thanks!!
