870 bead replacement?

I recently picked up a LEO trade in 870. Apparently, the officers of the Sacramento PD also use the beads of their 870s as hammers.

While currently usable, I'd like to replace it.

Are the 870 beads press fit? I seem to recall they were. The shotgun is a 1980's vintage Wingmaster.

Looks like the majority of replacement options are for tapped barrels.

Tried a few searches, but didn't get far.

My 870P is a trade-in of late '80s vintage, and its bead is pressed in. I would imagine yours is also, it's been going on for a good while now. Drilling and tapping with a 6/48 hole would be a good idea if there isn't one already holding the bead.

I have one of MTM's tritium replacement beads for mine, to be installed on my next visit to The Wizard. It needs to be drilled and tapped too.

I wanted to get something decent up front. As soon as my forearm shows up and I get this new bead installed, I'll have this hand me down up and ready for it's new lease on life.
