Newbie to reloading, but will be supervised by a longtime reloader friend.

Does anyone have any good combos for 115gr Berry's plated RN

and

HS-6

or

Accurate #5

I have Magtech and CCI small pistol primers and looking for a good starter load.

TIA,
Knuckles

Accurate Powder Data

Hodgdon Powder Data

Both of those powders work well in 9MM with the Berrys 115 Gr RN. I would stop somewhere between 50% to 75% of jacketed data. I have 115 Gr load plated bullets higher than that with both those powders, but 50% to 75% is the safest way to go, especially for a beginner.

115 Grain Copper plated bullet

I use 5.6 of AA # 5 with the 115 RN Berry’s bullet. The Lee reloading manual (2nd Edition) states 5.2 - 5.8 for a copper plated bullet. You might want to do a search within this forum because a member scanned the pages of the Lee reloading manual and posted it. I did a quick search, but couldn't find it.
Hope this helps.

Information like this is exactly why the manufacturers spend thousands of dollars producing loading manuals. Your mentor should have informed you of this.
