9mm target load

I believe Precision is putting the bullet holes right next to the last one. Accuracy is hitting where you intended to.
At any rate, having well made consistent bullets will help with both. At least if the CBLF manages the gun properly.
Precision is putting every bullet in a string through the same hole. Accuracy is deciding where that hole is going to be before you put your finger on the trigger.

The one thing my testing has shown is that if you are serious about target loads, then DON'T use plated bullets.

I'm pretty close this opinion but "target" doesn't mean anything to me without some degree of measure. Plated bullets will hit many of the same targets more accurate ones will, even if its not as frequently..

Zero down or an "Alpha" isn't very small at the ranges they are normally shot but group shooting can go all the way to .0000-

All my non-revolvers are 9mm. It makes things simpler when ordering reloading supplies. I've onlybeen reloading about a little over 10 years, but about 5 or so years ago I landed on RMR for all range bullets. I don't even look elsewhere any more. I've used Berry's plated, Xtreme, others, but RMR are priced right, consistant, and a great company to work with. High volume indoor range are RMR 124 FMJ with a dose of Sport Pistol (if you can find it) or W231.

I just ordered some yesterday and to RMR , the 5% discount and the good reviews got me to order , not to mention the free shipping . Good jacketed bullets at almost plated bullet prices .

Real Quick… What COL are you guys loading for the 147 RMR

I’m loading test rounds at 3:30 am

1.10”. Had to edit that quick. I use Hornadys data for the 147 grain XTP. They say 1.10”. The RMR HMW is a little shorter than the XTP, so it gives a tiny bit more case space.

I'm loading my RMR Heavy Match Winners to 1.08" to be able to plunk in the Apex Tactical barrel in my M&P9. The HMW has a fairly stout profile and I can't get it to spin in the barrel at 1.10".

In my SIG 320, I can load it out to 1.114" which is the same OAL I use with the 124gr RMR MW

From "Barrel vs Max/Working OAL" thread - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...col-for-reference.848462/page-2#post-12249361
  • M&P Shield 9mm - RMR 147 gr FP MW: 1.130" / RMR 147 gr FMJ: 1.160"
  • Glock 22, KKM 40-9 conversion barrel - RMR 147 gr FP MW: 1.135" / RMR 147 gr FMJ: 1.169"
  • Glock 22, Tactical Kinetics 40-9 conversion barrel - RMR 147 gr FP MW: 1.075" / RMR 147 gr FMJ: 1.115"
  • Glock 23, Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel - RMR 147 gr FP MW: 1.065" / RMR 147 gr FMJ: 1.108"
  • SIG P320 X5/Bar-Sto Match 5" Barrel - RMR 147 gr FP MW: 1.040"

124 gr Lee cast powdercoated works well for me with AA#@, CFE Pistol and Zip.

You’re probably all loaded up already, but I like mine at 1.145”. That’s for a P320 X5 Legion. 3.6gr of N320 gets me a 132 PF.

HS6 has the best accuracy over the longest time. I’ve tried Titegroup too and it shot well but I only had a small sample to try. I use these in a Canik Mete as a bullseye pistol.

Not going to the range today, started rushing and spilling fine sprinkle Western #5. Going to do something else

and it’s raining like a blizzard

It's good to "take it easy" some times.

That's why I bake cookies and bake rolls/bread ... Great distraction and wife and I end up having something to eat too. 😁😘
Just got a load of fresh crusty bread and bomb olive oil! My favorite, even tho I’m opposed to Gluten! lol

I changed the seating stem to a flat profile, and trying to find COL that work for different guns. So far, 1.145 is too long for the Bull Government. I’m going to try 1.120. I never tried this bullet profile before.
